What Merkel Homeowners Should Know
- Merkel's location along I-20 means homes can be exposed to road dust and higher wind — exterior surfaces need durable coatings.
- Many Merkel homes were built in the 1960s–1980s and are prime candidates for kitchen and bathroom remodels.
- The area's alkaline soil and caliche base affect moisture drainage around foundations, which can cause drywall cracking and door misalignment.
- New construction in Merkel means we also handle finish carpentry, trim, and painting for builders and developers.
